Who we are
Islam is a movement for positive change. We are its New York chapter.
MAS New York is building a Muslim community that is well integrated, contributes positively to American society, and takes its faith seriously: comprehensive, moderate, relevant, and engaging. Real estate, buildings, and events are only tools. Our work is people.

How we do the work
Four departments. One method.
Develop people, and they develop their communities. Every program below is designed and run by the people it serves.
Youth
الشبابCamps, conferences, sports, halaqas, and mentorship for ages 15 to 30. Designed and run by young people.
Tarbiya
التربيةGrowth and refinement. Weekly usras, naqeeb training, and the slow work of developing people who develop others.
FPA
المشاركة المدنيةFaith Power Alliance. Civic engagement, interfaith dinners, voter drives, and a resource center for jobs, housing, food, and benefits.

المهتدونA home for New York’s new Muslims, in English and Spanish, from the first day and every day after.

From a former Hindu temple on Staten Island to a former church in Astoria, with a center near you in every borough but Manhattan.
